With the MAVIC AIR Quadcopter with remote controller, you become your own pilot, able to fly and record in 4K video at 30fps from the air. This little wonder also allows for automated flying in “QuickShot” modes. The “QuickShot” mode is a self-piloted flight feature providing four autonomous flight modes which is only a tap away, two more autonomous flight modes provides you with the option to shoot automated epic selfie drone videos requiring no flying experience. The Lightweight and compact foldable design of the Mavic Air makes it easy to take it anywhere with you and  with a charged Mavic Air lithium battery, the quadcopter  will provide you with up to 20 minutes of flying time.

Onyx Black DJI Mavic Air Quadcopter

The Mavic Air mini 4K Quadcopter drone  is based on the original Mavric Pro, an award winning range drone which now has been improved in many respects. This Chinese manufactured quadcopter fits in mid-range between the DJI’s Spark and Mavic 2 Pro, although it’s closer in price to the DJI’s Spark model. The drone is being sold with a remote controller, a battery, carrying case, two pairs of propeller guards, and four pairs of propellers in Onyx Black, Arctic White and Flame Red. For the more discerning quadcopter pilot, demanding more, a Fly More Combo option is available that includes three batteries, comes with a remote controller, a travel bag, it has two pairs of prop guards, six pairs of props, a battery to power bank adapter and a charging hub, which requires a slightly greater investment but is considered a better value prospect for those who are more serious about flying.

The Mavic Air includes 8GB onboard storage capabilities with the option of using an additional microSD storage for facilitating video-recording. In a folded down state, the DJI Mavic Air’s footprint is just slightly larger than a phablet, and about half the size of the Mavic 2 Pro. This makes it DJI’s most portable model yet.  The Mavic Air can either be flown using the remote controller, from a distance of up to 6562′ according to some or, it can be paired using a smartphone over Wi-Fi direct. Flying using the smartphone Wi-Fi mode, the range is considerably less but is useful if you want to quickly grab some shots.

Going on an outdoor adventure? The Mavic Air weighs just 430g, it will hardly prove encumbering on your next outdoor adventure, using it to video-log your trip with those amazing aerial views for later video inclusion using an editing program, also providing 32.0MP sphere panoramas, – In addition to horizontal, vertical, and 180° panoramas, Mavic Air stitches 25 photos together in just eight seconds to create crystal clear 32.0MP sphere panoramas.

Customer Opinions:

  • I love it. I compared the Mavic Air to the Spark and the Mavic Pro. By most accounts, this was the best of both worlds. As an inexperienced flyer, I can say that this is incredibly easy to fly, the pictures and video are amazing. I have flown in winds up to 20mph and the video looks like it’s a still day. I’ve flown approximately 15 times. Each time brings more joy. I would also recommend getting an SD card to put in. Make sure you get one that is capable of writing at the speed necessary to write 4k video. (I purchased the SANDISK Extreme)
  • This was an awesome and extremely fun purchase. In my opinion, its worth the extra money to get the “Fly More Kit” as the batteries only last around 20 minutes each and take a little while to recharge. The “Fly More Kit” gives you an hour of flying time with 3 batteries. The drone comes with an internal 8 Gb of storage, but you’ll likely want to purchase a memory stick. I bought a Samsung 128GB Evo Plus Class 10 Micro SDXC from Amazon and it worked great with the Drone and my Imac and MacBook flawlessly.
  • This thing is flat out amazing! Takes about 30-60 min to setup the drone, the app, and to learn enough to fly and do most things. Once again I have no standards to compare this to but it goes sky high, has a range >4km total, and can go ~40mph. It also shoots amazing 4k videos.
